PhD - System Neuroscience

Göttingen Graduate Center for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular Biosciences

University of Göttingen, Germany
2011 - 2016

During my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Göttingen, I focused on three parallel projects:
- High dimensional mapping of the macaque brain area MST;
- The role of microsaccadic eye movements in visual attention in humans;
- Development of autonomous touchscreen devices for captive monkeys.

Supervised by Prof. Dr. Stefan Treue, I graduated with a magna cum laude distinction.

MS - Neuroscience & Neuropsychology

University of Bologna, Italy
2008 - 2011

For my Master's degree in Neurosciences and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the University of Bologna, I focused on electrophysiological mapping of the macaque's lateral prefrontal cortex. My thesis, supervised by Prof. Dr. Alessio Avenanti, Prof. Dr. Pier Francesco Ferrari, and Dr. Stefano Rozzi, earned a final grade of 110/110 cum laude. This experience laid a strong foundation for my future research endeavours.

BS - Neuropsychology

University of Turin, Italy
2004 - 2008

For my Bachelor's thesis in Neuropsychology University of Turin, I focused on statistical analysis of Big Data acquired form questionnaire in different modalities (web vs phone). This experience introduced to the world of code-based data analysis from which I never came back while providing a solid foundation in research methodologies and statistical analysis.
